Today, we eat poorly and many of the pre-packaged convenience foods lack nutrients. We are surrounded by chemicals and toxins in the products we rub on our skin, ingest and even inhale. We are exposed to more toxins than our bodies know what to do with, and it’s making us sick!
Toxins are everywhere and can lead to various health issues, making us more susceptible to disease and infection. Environmental toxins, poor diet, pollution, electromagnetic fields, wi-fi, left-over medication and drugs, bacteria, viruses, mental and emotional stress – all of these fill up our personal barrel. This is known as the 'Barrel Effect'. Toxins continually build up throughout your body. Then the body cannot get rid of all the accumulated toxins that we are exposed to on a daily basis. Eventually, this can lead to an acidic state within the body and may start the development and progression of bodily diseases, including cancer.
Detoxification is the process by which the body eliminates toxins from it's cells. When we clear some of the toxic build-up from our modern world, you activate your body’s natural ability to cleanse itself and may reduce bodily inflammation, aging or even disease progression, including the formation of cancer cells. When we cleanse our bodies and do a detox, we reset our metabolism which may help with weight management. In turn, we feel better, less fatigued, less stressed and have more energy!
